For reasons that we (nor any other bloggers on the tubes) are not privy to (though speculation is rampant), Our Mr. Olbermann will not be going to to Minnesota this week. He’ll be doing his anchor bit from 30 Rock. I wondered if this merited a masthead change, but figured hey. I done made it already.
Whether you’re watching the Elephant Party get down with its bad self or not, feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

Keith probably got shipped out because none of the Repubs want to talk to anyone who won’t kiss their ass. Scroom.
He has football on Thursday with his soulmate Dan to look forward to. :)

Mum and I have a theory that they are keeping KO away because he is kind of the biggest name in liberal Bush-skewering and, well…. it might not be physically safe for him. He’s a big guy- he stands out.
I am soooo watching as much of the RNC I can stand. Know your enemy! Plus, ya know…. Rachel.
Speaking of the illustrious Dr. Maddow, a word to fellow Maddow Fans (MaddowHeads? Rachelites?): she mentioned that the next Air America cruise is going to happen Nov. 16. I am soooo saving up for the last rooms which tend to go pretty damn cheap. I flaked out last time, but this time I will seize the day (provided I can work up the cashy money).

Great blog! Keep up the good work.
FACT: Chuck Todd is not taking sides in the Olbermann-Matthews smackdown.

Erin - That article is offensive on so many levels! But here’s just one. Sarah Palin’s daughter didn’t “mess up.”
Bristol was raised by parents who home schooled her and taught her abstinence only. She’s a 17 year old kid, she didn’t have any information about protecting herself from pregnancy and disease. This is a consequence of that decision.
Maybe those other young women listed in the article just practiced birth control. It used to be something we encouraged in this country.

The GOP has a new strategy regarding Palin and several of their surrogates have the talking points. The controversy surrounding Palin and her vetting — it’s the media’s fault!!

Me watching the crowd reactions during the convention last night, “…white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white, A BLACK GUY! AN ACTUAL BLACK GUY! white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,white, white,white,white,…”

The masthead is disturbing, so I scroll down quickly.
I’m glad Keith is back at NYC studio, he can actually provide us with news and those wacky things called FACTS during this RNC clusterf#@K. I did love the baseball tie-in with Keith saying Palin’s big mayoral experience stint was of a town that could all be seated in the Wrigley Field Bleachers. Oh snap!
Without Keith there to reign them in, Chris Matthews & Pat Buchanan are unwatchable. I look forward to next week and Rachel’s debut. Stephanie Miller calls Gov. Palin, Caribou Barbie, (which I know is a little mean spirited name-calling), but makes me laugh every time she says it. ;)

LAWLZ. So, my brother was talking about how awesome he thinks Chuck Todd is and he said, “Dude, I’m totally going to be Facebook Friends with Chuck Todd.”
Turns out Chuck *has* an actual Facebook Fan page, as do Keith and Rachel. So if you’re on FB, you can totally show your support for Keith or Rachel or Chuck (and I’m sure there are other peoples too).
Also, Richard Wolffe has an honest to God personal Facebook page, which makes him all the more endearing. He has it set to private though, so you have to be his friend to read it.

Looks like MSNBC & Chuck Todd are about to be the center of the RNC/FOXnews sh*t-storm:

(Good thing ‘ole Bildo & the rest of the FOX freaks have already “labeled” NBC as “far left loons,” it will be easier for them to lump in GOPers Noonan & Murphy. This Palin thing is really something to watch unfold).
