Rachel Maddow: Rock Star

Ok, television star, but it’s all good today, people, because beginning at 9:00pm on September 8th, Rachel Maddow will be anchoring her own show on MSNBC.

The New York Times had the news, and Mr. Olbermann himself weighed in at DailyKos.

Right now, I’m listening to Rachel take suggestions and tips for her new show on her radio show on Air America - which will continue even after she goes on the TV machine in this increased capacity. Thoughts for her upcoming show? Things you’d like to see? What say you on this auspicious day?

Personally, I can’t quite move past “Rachel! Show! Oh my god!” just yet. I’ll get there.

O frabjous day! Calooh! Callay!’
(S)He chortled in his (her) joy.

Quoting Jabberwocky from Alice in Wonderland as I am close to speechless with glee.

As I do not live in East Coast time, is that the slot after Keith’s, currently Verdict?

And thank you, Keith Olbermann, for making this possible!

Rafi’s Mom, it is the slot right after Keith’s.

Keith + Rachel = 2 awesome hours of TV.

:rocks out: Video killed the radio staaaar.

This is so great. I am filled to the brink with joy. I always loved Rach best. She is amazin’.

Bravo to the good doctor, cure for what ails ya.

In a word: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Okay, now that she has her own show, who gets to play fill-in when Keith goes on a vacation (or to a Yankees game)?

I heard it’s between Joe Biden, Allison Stewart and Evan Bayh.
Maybe he’ll leave a message at Kos and let us know.

Oh, Chicating, Thank you. What a chortle you gave me. Let’s put Alison on Obama’s list and Biden on Keith’s.

After Keith shared the qualification Obama had listed, I had to think that Keith was out (so much for my Obama~Olbermann ‘08 bumper sticker, SIGH), and obviously Chris Matthews, that Ego thing and all.

In fact, after that list I am certain that it has to be Bill Richardson as I cannot think of anyone else who qualifies at both ends- experienced and ready to be President, willing to disagree with Obama, and non ego driven.

Thank goodness the Olympics are almost over and MSNBC will be back in full after the Election, and even better with Rachel every night as well!

I had not realized how much dreck there is on CNN until I was forced to it in my ongoing quest to know the VP Barack is choosing, and as I do not have a cell phone or do text messaging, and I suspect that AOL will hold up the email announcement,CNN it is.

But, I just heard one of the CNN reporters call Wolf Blitzer on not knowing the difference between Anxious and Eager, so my inner word nerd is full of glee.
