Looking for some KO during his vacation? Well it seems that Keith Olbermann will be joining Dan Patrick on Tuesday morning’s Dan Patrick Show to talk about their new Football Night in America venture . According to Rachel Maddow, who subbed for Keith on Countdown tonight, KO will be on during the radio show’s third hour (11:00 Eastern Time).
According to a Reuters article, it was hoped that DP could join KO last season, except that ESPN invoked a no-TV NFL coverage clause in his contract due to Keith’s presence.
Ebersol said that in talking to ESPN chief George Bodenheimer and ESPN executive vp John Skipper, things changed a bit after they realized Patrick would be reuniting with Olbermann. ESPN invoked a contract provision that kept Patrick from working on “They had a right, buried in the boilerplate of the deal, to keep him off of TV for a year, said NBC Sports Chairman Dick Ebersol.
If KO shows during Tuesday’s DP Show, we will recap it here and at Palaver. If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Dan’s new ‘non-ESPN’ show yet, it is a good time to give it a try. You can stream it live at the show’s internet site - DP.com.

And Kudos to Rachel for an innovative version of Puppet Theater to bring us this news.
