Ah, Orin. Your comments re the Rachel/Keith disagreement were so spot on that I finally quoted your two paragraphs in my personal journal (credited, of course) to add to my thoughts on this.

As someone who has had moments of wishing she had Carrie's powers, I know that we women have this wild Kali inside us. The more gentle and/or Ice Queen the exterior, the greater the potential.

During the impeachment process, I disagreed with the Congressional action as none of the public's business, but I also thought that if I had been Hillary, who's business this was, all of Bill's stuff would have ended up in the Reflecting Pool while he would be strung up by his ankles over an outhouse being visited by busloads of tourists with Montezuma's revenge.

I love how Rachel refers to this current phase of the Clinton Campaign as Post Rationalism.

I seem to remember Dan Patrick kidding Keith because now is the first time he has ever lived with a woman. No wonder he is still naive as to this aspect of our characters.

Someone on the Huffington Post referred to the current state of the Clinton campaign as going through the stages of grief, which are not a neat and orderly progression, but a wild mix often taking on aspects of leapfrog. Clearly both Denial and Bargaining are currently in play here.

I think that in the time of Monica, Hillary's decision to forgive Bill and remain married to him is part of why many women, me included, have some hesitations about her now. The terms co-dependant relationship and low self esteem/respect come to mind.

It is not as if she was unemployed, without resources, and had small children to care for.

And didn't I see an article about how Reverend Jeremiah Wright came to the White House to counsel the Clintons in the midst of this mess? If so, it is certainly to Obama's credit that he has never referenced it.

In any case, Rachel has the advantage over Keith on this as she was once a thirteen year old girl and he was not.

I love how good humored Rachel is when he disagrees with her. She is now my role model as I strive not to be so darned touchy about nonsense.

The simple fact is this: when it comes to anything Yankees, Keith really is just a big goofy overgrown fanboy. Dan Patrick is right, he's a Yankee apologist. He bragged all over that show about his "exclusive" tour of the inside of the stadium, but if you go to YouTube and type in "new yankee stadium," you can find at least a half-dozen videos of the thing, including interior views, posted months ago.

It's funny how skeptical Keith was about it in the beginning but now that he's been privileged to have been given a tour of it, he just knows it's the Best Baseball Stadium in All the Land! Yeah, Keith, whatever...OK, I really do get charmed by his boyish wide-eyed excitement over all this stuff. I think that deep down inside somewhere, he still sees himself as just another fan who got incredibly lucky, and now they give him private tours and let him visit the media box and <i>everything.</i>

Perhaps Keith would rather blame himself for the shaky camera work than blame the not-yet "missus." But there hardly seems to be a point to it. Obviously, all that girlish giggling had to be coming from somewhere.

In the Rachel vs. Keith "whose side are you on" derby, I think so far Rachel is being proven right, and it is a surprise only to Keith, who seems to be kidding himself: "But I <i>know</i> Hillary. She's a gracious and decent person...she'll know when to fold her tents and gracefully depart." Spoken like a man who never had all his stuff tossed out the door onto the front lawn by a vengeful ex-girlfriend...and believes he never will because he is such an astute judge of feminine nature that he would never have any truck with someone who would DO such a thing.

Got news for you, Keith. Looks like not only is Hillary capable of maintaining a delusion for a very long time, but when she does finally go, she's taking everyone with her that she can. Think "<i>Carrie</i> at the prom" and you'll have the idea.

I think this is the second editorial by the NYTimes where they wish they could take back their Sen. Clinton endorsement:

"But we believe just as strongly that Mrs. Clinton will be making a terrible mistake — for herself, her party and for the nation — if she continues to press her candidacy through negative campaigning with disturbing racial undertones."

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/05/09/opinion/09fri1.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Also, did Keith ever mention Bill-O has a memoir coming out in Sept of this year? Can't wait to read about his love of loofas...

A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity: A Memoir by Bill O'Reilly

http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780767928823

BTW: This guy as a master's from Harvard & Boston University...I have the Marvin Kitman bio book of Bill-O, I should read it sometime...

Thanks Olberfann for the Yankee segment link, I did not catch the whole show. My, my, Keith certainly did gush quite a bit...plus the female laughing when he was on camera, Katy perhaps? The camera work was not all that bad.

I almost paid $250 to watch Greg Maddux at Wrigley once, but as I was just about to click on the "confirm order" button, I just couldn't do it. (Lucky for me, because I think that was the day that the Cardinals chased him and clinched the division. The Cubs may not be a favorite of mine, but I really can't stand the Cardinals, really). $2500 for a front row seat is down right criminal, but since FOX, ESPN, and now TBS primarily showcase the Yankees as their games of the week, seems they have just another revenue stream to build with....I digress, sorry, little crabby because the White Sox can't hit and haven't been able to hit since 2006 and why is Greg Walker still the hitting coach...and the White Sox really suck right now. arrrrrgh...

Keith’s hair’s looking very … high this week. Like he went in for a trim with the DVD case from House Party in hand and said “Like this, but more subtle.”

LOL Stef, my drink came out my nose from laughing... ;)

Thanks for confirming the new "hair do". I thought it was me. Haven't been able to watch much lately because of finals. Also, KO, I know you wouldn't intentionally fib to us, but I can't help but wonder who was behind the camera at Yankee's stadium when you were seen in the shot? Didn't look like a tripod set-up to me and I swear I could hear a woman giggling in the background. The "missus" perhaps? Please don't blame yourself for "shakey" footage when you weren't even behind the camera!
