His political commentary is much needed nowadays! My uncle is a retired CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp) commentator who used to be called "The Canadian Mort Sahl." Speaking of Dan Quayle...I encountered him when he was Veep. He was speaking at NASA and then did the handshaking thing. I said to him "Mars or Bust" and I guess he took that as an invite to stare at mine. Then, during the Republican convention here, I had to take a White House space official to a meeting with the Veep at an uptown hotel. They sent us to the wrong hotel! Then when we got there, I was smelled up by a bomb-sniffing dog. "No, Fluffy, I wasn't hiding anything there!!! Nice Boy!" Glad to see Mort Sahl as I haven’t heard him for some time.
