As you now know, Keith didn't wear the orange tie last night, he wore it tonight. The one last night was new.

Actually, Joan Crawford was not in All About Eve, it was Bette Davis, and Eve was played by Anne Baxter, I think.

Yes, Red Toots, I also thought that that was a reference to where the Marilyn Monroe character was studying.

As I recall this was also Monroe's first movie.

Isn't the Copacabana School of Dramatic Arts supposedly where Marilyn Monroe went to school in "All About Eve?" The joke being that the Copacabana is not a school, but a nightclub.

Chuck Knoblauch is on the list of players linked to steroids use. He's the one who beaned Keith's mother with a wild throw to first.

I did see the part with the All About Eve reference. I took that to be a reference to the fact that Joan Crawford is in All About Eve, Ms. Crawford being as much an icon to the gay community as Judy Garland. And Keith did make a fairly obscure reference from All About Eve. Or so I understand.

Even a subdued Musto is too much Musto.

Aaron Barnhart has frequently written about KO (a search of ERT pulls up 5 things of his) and said during the summer TCA that he wanted to get Keith on his podcast. Perhaps that podcast will be happening soon.

Oh, Erin, you missed it by tuning out MUTSO (And I CAN understand that urge.)

He was very subdued again, and twice as he and Keith dropped obscure references on each other from All About Eve and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Musto murmured sadly, "and you're straight".

I have NO desire to follow up on or speculate on whatever that was about, but it was a bit of a golden moment.

I did hear/see the Republican "debate" today as I was putting bookcases together and wanted some background noise that was not Christmas carols.

I do not know their voices well enough to always know who was talking as the moderator tended to address them by titles instead of names, so I did sit to simply watch after a time. After that oddity, certainly including Alan Keyes who appeared to have been spliced in from a different event, I can only wonder what the Democrats will do tomorrow.

I then stayed tuned to MSNBC, and they had an interesting feature on Hardball on how the writers' strike is affecting politics as the late night comics are not live and so are not skewering the candidates.
(Video available on the Hardball website)

One of the men on the panel, Aaron Barnhart of the Kansas City Star, was at MSNBC to interview Keith for an article on this and commented that at the moment Keith was the only one doing political humor and that his Worst Persons segment was a three minute political comedy skit.

He also appeared to be wearing one of Keith's ties, making me wonder if he had been a last minute replacement.

No vaginas tonight. Actually MM was toned down, (for Musto), and therefore funnier.

I was just happy that Keith reconsidered taking the next two days off and decided to come in tomorrow!
