WOW, where to start, other than GO SOX!!!

I so appreciate what is done here, all of the good writing and wonderful insights, and on those Keithless nights, a well done Worst Persons List, and it is hard to live without that.

This was a fantastic write up of Friday's show, which had me chortling from the first sentence. Box turtles, indeed, naughty little amphibians that they are.

Until MUSTO showed up, and, yes, he was not his usual acerbic self, I had begun to think that with the move to the big city, the show was also being turned up a notch from its already high level, making a run for the so often tired Network newscasts.

I will add that after the names of the five female named most likely to put out, there was a warning: "Anyone named Tonya Kelly, stay home tonight."

I also really appreciate Rachel Maddow and loved that she was the set of show instead of in a box. She is bright, fast, and always amused by the absurdity of whatever situation they are discussing.

I have spent the weekend trying to explain the fine points of baseball to an 8 year old who can quote every Patriots and Tom Brady statistic but persists in believing that if a runner crossed home plate, it is a home run.

Game 4 and a possible sweep coming up.

Dana Perillo: "Go ahead. Pull my string. I dare you."

BTW, one-hour FNiA this evening, followed by Matt Damon in the Network TV premiere of The Bourne Identity and Dateline NBC. Something about the Boston Red Sox going for a sweep against the Colorado Pebbles.

Olberfan, $249 for the Keith Card? Damn! Some people have more money that sense.

And Rachel Maddow has joined Emma Thompson on my if I was ever tempted list. Not that it works that way. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Maybe Musto is partially my fault. I usually like it when he gets his bitch on, but something seemed off yesterday.(accepts Bronze as Worst Blogger in The World)
Stef, when I get a computer with better sound, I'll make it a point to listen. RM is the bomb, especially compared to that segment from the fixed noise morning show where the woman's blouse was so low she was falling out and stuff.Morning show is too early for cleavage.
My name has never made a poll like that, but it is in "Mambo #5."

While I got a good laugh about the Becky and Stef thing, my second thought was "how the hell do people get money to do this type of polling?" Followed by wondering if they just walk up to guys and say "so, what 5 names put out?" and then wondering if the guys don't just laugh hysterically at the questioner thinking this must be a Daily Show interview?

Musto seemed fairly subdued for him. Keith needs to remove ALL mentions of lips in his questioning of Musto.

The whole show was so fantastic, the first twenty minutes were brilliant and on-point and incisive, and then Rachel Maddow's segment was hilarious and (sigh) adorable (Goddammit, Stef), and then ... goddammit, Michael Musto, it's not even Halloween yet, why have you crawled out of the sewers to terrify us?

Man, that was SO CLOSE. Olbermann pitched a perfect game right up to the last batter ... and then threw a slow pitch right to the middle of the strike zone. Fucking Michael Musto. He brings the entire calibre of the show down into the muck with him.

Michael Musto and whoever on staff keeps inviting him on the show ... tonight's WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD.

Even Keith is kind of giggly around Rachel Maddow. It was a delight to see him interact with her last night.

Also, "Fear Strikes Out" is on TCM tonight. Keith has referenced it several times during the course of "Countdown":

Dammit, Becky, play it cool.

*clear throat*

Oh, yeah, that ... happened.

Anyway, here's the poll in question (See? "Steph" w/a "ph" - totally different).

And 2 things about the Maddow-Dumbledore-BillO segment: First is the crux of it, what I found most ridiculous wasn't that BillO was accusing Rowling of promoting The Gay, but instead that she was trying to usher in a dangerous wave of tolerance for The Gay.

And secondly, chicating ... it is ridiculously easy to develop a crush on Maddow. First you're just enjoying her being engaging and awesome on Keith's show, then you're listening to her show, then you're ... watching old Campaign Asylum vids on the Youtube and converting your friends.

I mean ... I hear that that can happen. I don't ... I wouldn't know.

Houstonian, Stef and Becky were indeed in there at #5 and #4 respectively.

As for my comment, I will only admit that Miss Stef and I had a brief IM conversation that consisted almost entirely of capital letters and exclamation points. We may have been wearing aluminum headgear at the time.
