The lovely Stef informs me that yesterday was ERT’s second anniversary!
It was two years ago that I emailed Susan and said, “I think Keith needs a blogger. I think I can do that. But I think I may need help (and a screen cap) now and then.” Well now I have lots of great help in the form of Erin, Hawaii, Gilbert, Chica, and Stef, without whom I couldn’t keep this blog going. And without you, our readers, we wouldn’t have a reason to keep it going. And to think I thought this would be a six month lark.
Thank you friends, lurkers, commenters and linkers for making these two years fun and interesting!

Happy Birthday……
……..and a gift for some here.
During the time some of us were miffed by comments in the Playboy interview but forgave due to Keith’s health emergency, I had an idea pop into my brain, full blown as from the brow of Zeus, with a slogan and poster for KO’s girl fans.
As my artistic skills are about on a par with my computer skills all I can do is describe the poster idea, but the slogan is offered to you as a gift.
KEITH OLBERMANN ~ The Thinking Woman’s Fabio
My poster concept has an Olbermann head (possibly from the bobble head as I am partial to that) superimposed on a typical almost bare chested Fabio type art piece. Not quite bare chested, as there is a gorgeous and impeccably tied tie. He is holding a banner, possibly Save the Republic, but in French, and there are females of a much smaller scale of ever age, size, ethnicity, etc, clustered around his feet. all falling out of their bodices as is typical of such art, and all with giant glasses.
I am the redhead at the far left, looking out of the frame and yawning with my hand over my mouth.
Again, Happy Birthday!!!

We’re two? Do you realize how old that is in blog years?
The important thing is, we’re all young at heart.
Happy Birthday!

Happy anniversary, happy anniversary
Happy anniversary, Happy anniversary!
Okay, guess the cartoon this came from and win a cookie! Okay, a virtual cookie…
BTW, Keith will be forced tonight by his producer to have a report on Brittney Spears losing custody of her kids.

If this blog were a person born today, he/she/it would be a Libra, meaning…
“Librans are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good looking. They have elegance, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty, harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring.
They have good critical faculty and are able to stand back and look impartially at matters which call for an impartial judgment to be made on them. Their characters are on the whole balanced, diplomatic and even tempered.”
… Yep. Sounds about right.
Happy birthday!

Woo, thumbs up from me another Libra (whose birthday is today, incidentally) and a wish for many, many more anniversaries to come!

That, dear James, is from an episode of The Flintstones. IIRC, it is being sung by men sitting on an upright piano as it rolls down the street.
Thank you all for your kind wishes!

Rafismom, make the women pictured on the poster not only bespectacled, but all stereotypically hideously ugly, and you’re on.
Happy anniversary to the blog. Oh, and I’m a Libra, too. Isn’t that a riot?

Becky, if I remember correctly, the man who sold the piano to Fred Flintstone was “88 Fingers Louie.”
Which is also the name of a punk band:

Actually they sang it at Fred’s house before he’s hauled off…TO THE BIG HOUSE!
So I’ll give both of you partial credit and a virtual cookie.

Awww, sorry I missed the party. I was on retreat at the church camp I went to as a kid. It’s remarkable how much is the same.
