It definitely is nice to know that there will be a place to check up on Dan at. There also appears to be a countdown thing - I am assuming to his new show? The tie thing was very Dan - both slapstick and deadpan simultaneously. And sniffing the tie that he first wore with Keith? I am going to take that as a sign that he wants to work with him again.
